While meeting with one of our original clients yesterday one of the co-chairs tossed out an idea that just rang a bell with me. For your next Procurement Rally try something different to get your team engaged and ideas flowing. In our workshop we have always used the example: “If you had $10,000. what would you want to buy?” Instead try “What’s on your bucket list?” People of all ages these days seem to have a Bucket List. I think this broadens the thinking even more than a high price tag because experience has shown us that the best selling auction items are those that are unique experiences and not something tangible that carries a true market price tag.
